Season 2001-2002
Mockingbird continues our
tradition of selling "Good Ones"
The
first week of May, the new show season began with the cream kitten, SGCH Mockingbird Oscar Nominee of Habitat, entering his second show
in South Africa for new co-owner Estelle Pritchard. Oscar was Best
Kitten in Show, Best Persian in Show over all the adults...
and (trumpets sound!) BEST CAT IN SHOW over EVERYONE!!! His next show he earned another Best. Oscar is now a papa for
GC Mockingbird X-Periment of Abywise entered his first show with co-owner Steve Gardea on June 2nd and earned his first grand points. Not long afterwards, Perry granded in style by being a Best Cat winner and Best Cat in Show! Thank you so much, Steve.
CH Mockingbird X-Quiz-It (Grand-Pointed) Co-owned with Kathy Durdick of Ristokat, Quizzy is a Top 10 finalist as an open, Grand pointed and top 10 finalist in her first show as a champion, Quizzy is now at home to raise babies.

The 2000-2001 Season
What
a year it was! The 2000-2001 show season began with a big bang
when I sent
a 4 month old brown tabby & white van Persian male kitten
called "Liner"
to my good friends Diana and Tonya Heinzen of TNT Purrfect Persians in
Arizona.
Double
regional winner GC
RW Mockingbird My Bi-Line
is a one show grand, made
a "hat-trick" when he was awarded Best Cats as an Open, as a
Champion and as a Grand! Shown only a few times as a grand, Liner is now
retired. He is the 11th Best Kitten in the Northwest and 19th
Best Cat in the Southwest Region and best brown Tabby Persian in
CFA!! From his kitten debut when he was
three times awarded Best Kitten, to his final kitten show
where he was twice "Best" over an entry of 123 kittens, Liner
was truly impressive. Thank you so much to my good friends Diana
and Tonya Heinzen of TNTPurrfect persians.
At the same time that Liner was "wowing" judges on the West
Coast, Mockingbird Final Cut of MacPurrs
was making his kitten debut on the East Coast where he was 4 times Best
Kitten and was Best Kitten in Show his first time exhibited by new co-owner
Heather MacDougall. "Cutter" has continued his winning ways,
being a Best Kitten winner at both CFA and ACFA shows.
Although
only shown lightly as a kitten, CH Mockingbird
Re-Write of Tamarakatz was also a consistent finalist for co-owner
Tammy Roark. "Rita" then earned her first grand points before
blowing coat. It ain't easy being a girl :-)
Mockingbird
Free Spirit, although shown only a few times, is already a Best
Cat winner for owner Sheila Croft, Nova Scotia... and he's not even a
champion yet!
In October 2000, our first homebred exotic, Mockingbird
X-Hilaration debuted at the Northwest Qualifier where she finaled
in the top 10 with an entry of 109 kittens.
